Put it online. “Pakistani Starfleet Command, this is Princess Lakshman Khan, I only have but moments to speak as I have just been captured from my village near the Gilgit Mesosphere Domed city in Pakistan a few hours ago by his Owlness and the Corporate Alliance. They say if you continue to resist assimilation by the Corporate Alliance Republic they will assimilate me. Please, I need your help, I think I hear them coming. Hurry, hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I thought we heard the last hoot from his Owlness. We are not going to submit to the demands of His Owlness. Who do they think they are? These guys never give up trying to assimilate every living thing in sight. Please send a tactical deepspace rescue team to extract her within the lighthour before It’s too late. Labib Bin Skywalker can head up the rescue effort.

The Pied Bushchat, (Saxicola caprata)

Description:

It is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but is now more generally considered to be an Old World flycatcher, Muscicapidae. It, and similar small species in the family, are often called chats.

The male is black except for a white rump, wing patch and lower belly. The males of the race S. c. bicolor have vermiculated dark grey upperparts. This species is apparently fairly close to the European-African Stonechat complex (Wink et al., 2002). The female has dark brown upperparts and rufous underparts and rump. She has no white wing patches. Juveniles are similar to females.

Food:

This species is insectivorous, and like other chats hunts from a prominent low perch.

Size:

The Pied Bushchat is slightly smaller than the Siberian Stonechat, Saxicola maura, although it has a similar dumpy structure and upright stance.

Distribution:

It is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from the Middle East through Pakistan/India and eastwards to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Habitat:

It is found in open habitats like scrub, rough grassland and cultivation. It builds its nest in a hole in a wall or similar site, and lays 2-5 eggs.

Scientific Classification:

Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Chordata
Class:Aves
Order:Passeriformes
Family:Muscicapidae
Genus:Saxicola
Species:S. caprata
